In 1972, Duane Kershner was led by the Holy Spirit to the southern coast of Oaxaca, Mexico. God gave him a compassionate heart for the people of that region, as he traveled from town to town preaching the gospel and praying for the sick.
From 1982 to 1990, Duane Kershner and his wife Sue began and pastored a church in Larned, Kansas, from where they led short-term mission teams into Oaxaca. On those trips the Holy Spirit was poured out as they led crusades and conferences. God began to work in new ways and an exciting new movement began. Victory Latin America Outreach is located today in Kansas.
In 1989, the Kershners left their pastorate in Kansas to attend Victory World Missions Training Center in Tulsa, OK. In 1990, the Kershners were sent out by their local church in Larned, Kansas and by the Victory Christian Center. Accompanied by a team of 8 other missionaries, they were commissioned to establish the Roca Blanca Mission Base, evangelize, and plant churches in the unreached areas of Oaxaca, Mexico.
After many years of team-building, pioneering, purchasing property, building facilities, evangelizing through compassionate outreaches, and discipling, there are now over 50 local churches led by graduates from the Victory Bible Institute located on the Roca Blanca Mission Base.
Additional ministries also now in operation at the Mission Base: Victory School of Music and Worship, Vocational School, Corban Medical Clinic, Bethel House of Prayer, Spanish Language School, Orphanage, Guest House Services, and Preschool through High School.

The Mission of the Roca Blanca Mission Base is to reach the unreached people in the state of Oaxaca, the country of Mexico, and the world with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. We strive to accomplish this by:
Evangelizing through compassionate outreaches
Training national leaders
Planting local churches led by trained nationals
Sending missionaries throughout Mexico and the World.
With all that there is to do, we recognize that writing newsletters and blogs is an important element in our missionary service to you. So we endeavor to regularly write a letter that shares real-life testimonies of things that have happened to and through us at Roca Blanca.
These can be about times of danger where Jesus brought great deliverance, or humorous missionary stories that will make you laugh out loud, and sometimes shocking stories that will leave you at a loss for words. Our goal is to communicate well so you can see and experience daily life and events at Roca Blanca.
Worship has been a vital part of who we are and what we do, in submission and adoration of our great God!
"The trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice, to give praise and thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, they raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang: "He is good; his love endures forever." - 2 Chronicles 5:13
I will sing to the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. - Psalm 104:33
We wish to embody His worship, lifting up the light of His presence in this area of spiritual darkness!
Roca Blanca (White Rock) Base is located on the Pacific Coast of Southern Mexico in the small fishing village of Cacalote, in the state of Oaxaca.
It is located 200 miles SE of Acapulco, 175 miles SW of Oaxaca City, and 40 minutes West of Puerto Escondido.

Prayer and worship change the spiritual atmosphere of a region. In the Word of God and throughout history this has been proven over and over again
In Luke 18:7, Jesus says, "And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?" Isaiah 62:6-7 says, "I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth."
God will establish his kingdom on earth through worship and prayer.
Over the years good recordings have been made of worship for you to enjoy. These feature the Roca Blanca Praise Band, some recorded in studio and others live.
There are also videos of some of our events and conferences available for you.
You can find these for order or download under the Music School tab above. Let's worship our magnificent God together!
At Roca Blanca we believe in godly education, not only for the various ministry schools on campus, but also for our very youngest through those who are walking through those influential years of high school.
To that end a high school was first created, and then preschool through middle school inaugurated just a few years ago. The preschool and elementary are bilingual, with classes in both Spanish and English.
Please pray with us for these tender ones!
Operation Samuel is an annual summer camp for children on the Mission Base. The enthusiasm demonstrated by its organizers spills over in joy to these young hearts.
For three days several hundred youth come and, apart from all the fun, learn who God is, engage in meaningful worship, and make decisions for Christ that will endure!
